Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) and Arctic weather are natural phenomena and cannot be guaranteed.
Weak, partial, or absent aurora visibility does
not constitute grounds for refunds.

2. Weather, Roads & Safety Decisions

Tours operate under real Arctic conditions. Routes, duration, and stops may change due to weather, road conditions, ice, avalanches, accidents, or official safety instructions.

If roads are closed or conditions are deemed unsafe by authorities or guides, decisions are final and not refundable.

3. Operator Cancellation

If Alshemal Norway cancels a tour before departure due to extreme safety risks, guests will be offered (at operator discretion):

  • Rebooking

Alshemal Norway reserves the right to refuse participation without refund if a guest arrives with dangerously inadequate clothing (e.g. sneakers, jeans) and suitable safety equipment is not available.

6. Insurance & Liability

Vehicle insurance applies according to Norwegian law and covers guests only while inside the vehicle.

Incidents occurring outside the vehicle (walking, standing, photographing, slipping on ice/snow) are not covered by vehicle insurance.
Guests are strongly advised to carry personal travel insurance.

Some tours may cross international borders.

Guests are fully responsible for carrying valid documents:

Failure to do so may result in
denial of boarding without refund if a legal seat is unavailable.

12. Emergencies & Medical Responsibility

Guides have full authority to make safety decisions, including shortening or ending tours.
